HOW DOES GOD TALK
TO YOU TODAY?

Wish you ‘A MERRY CHRISTMAS’! During the month of December, we always remember the stories of the birth of Jesus Christ. Angel Gabriel visited Elizabeth and Mary. Today also certain people have the privilege of seeing and hearing Angels. Most of the Christians hear God’s voice often through the preaching, reading the Word of God, through other believers, dreams and visions etc. But you also need faith to follow it. How do you know, that God talks to you? I can say from my own experience, when God gives me a message, I am inspired to obey it and I get sufficient spiritual and physical power to follow it. I have never doubted about it and never regretted afterwards.
When Mary heard the message from Gabriel she was troubled and afraid. Gabriel told Mary: Don’t be afraid, I am bringing good news. Gabriel gave her a method of checking whether it is from God or not, by telling Mary to go to Elizabeth. When Mary was telling her all that happened with the Angel Gabriel, the bible says: The babe in the womb of Elizabeth leaped. When you have difficulties to obey and you are troubled in your heart about what God wants you to do, you can council with other believers. “When the babe in the womb leaped” means that Elizabeth is inspired by hearing what Gabriel told Mary. When we get a vision or when God talks to us, and when we share it with to others, they and we both are inspired and encouraged. Our doubts are removed.
After a meeting in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania, Africa, a lawyer came to my hotel to tell me what he felt, and that he should go for full time Christian ministry. He asked for my opinion. Since he wanted my answer about his future and he was doubting about his call, I felt to tell him that God did not call him for full time ministry.
In Galatians 1:16-17, when God called Paul the Apostle for His ministry, he did not consult with any flesh and blood. When God talks to you, you will do it. To Paul God directly talked, but to Mary Angel Gabriel talked. There is a big difference. When Jesus talks to you directly, you have no question. There are occasions that we are confirmed without other’s suggestion about God’s talk.
When Moses followed the measurements of the Tabernacle, according to what God told him, he obeyed word to word. When he had completed the task, clouds covered the Tabernacle and the glory of the Lord filled it (Exodus 40:34). People saw it, because the fire was over it by night in the sight of all the house of Israel. When we have God’s calling, people may not recognize it immediately, but later they will understand that we have a message from God and we are doing right things according to God’s way. When the clouds disappeared Moses and his people also moved forward. That means the clouds were leading them as a sign of recognition from God.
My friend Hans Braun wrote a book “Flight over the boarder”. Since he is a pilot, he explains about flying in the midst of clouds and on the clear sky. He can easily fly when he can see clearly, but when his aircraft enters into dark clouds he does not know where he is flying. Then he always depends on the ground radio station and the radar. When we are in doubt in our life please let us wait for God’s voice and his clear guidance, like from a radio station. When both my sons died, I had no doubt or confusion, because God clearly talked to me and gave me power to withstand such a situation.
When we follow God’s guidance in our life and look back into our past, we never regret but only have a thankful heart for God.
Michael Job Memorial Chapel was built in 2001, and inaugurated by my wife Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Job on 26th June 2001 on the 2nd Death Anniversary of our son Michael Job. I built the chapel 100 ft by 40 ft, when I had 31 daughters. Many asked me, why I built such a big Chapel. I told them that God told me to do so. At the last conference, 501 daughters, 300 delegates and 98 staff sat together in the Chapel.
At that time my friends also asked me how the people would reach Michael Job Chapel for the function. There was no road and the place was muddy and slippery. One week before the inauguration, more than 500 workers along with many machines appeared in front of the Chapel making a good road. Some people thought, that the then President of India Shri. K.R. Narayanan is Dr. Job’s friend and he was probably coming to inaugurate the Chapel. In India, when VIPs visit, the roads are made new to look better and for speedy vehicular traffic. The truth is, that there was a dispute between the Federal Government and the Central Government regarding an over-bridge. In order to connect the two highways, the State Government had decided to build a road, which passes just in front of our Chapel !
More truth is that they were doing something according to God’s plan. The road is a fulfillment of God’s plan given to me. The President of all presidents organized it. When Mary, the mother of Jesus, obeyed Gabriel’s message on the birth of Jesus, the choir of Angels sang songs and three wise men came from far away as visitors.
When God talks to you, He will inspire and guide you and fulfill His plans.

DOLLY THE TALLEST

Dolly


Dolly is one of our youngest daughters at the Michael Job Centre. She came here at the tender age of 2½ years. One day, during the prayer in dining hall, I noticed Dolly standing on her chair and praying. After the lunch I asked her why she stood up on her chair to pray. She said that she wanted to be the tallest.
On another occasion, I was walking from the Dining hall after the breakfast and Dolly was in front of me. As she was looking up to the sky all the time and walking, I thought probably there was a kite flying in the sky. So I also looked up to see what took her fancy. When I did not see anything in the sky, I ventured to ask her the reason for looking up. On Sundays Poori is served as breakfast in Michael Job Centre. This deep-fried wheat bread in oil is very delicious. I can eat only one. But some children eat more. On that day, Dolly ate four Poori. She told me that she was filled up to her neck. If she looked down, she thinks it may come out.
She always wants to be at the top!
